Water Surface Waste Processing System

The design focuses primarily on removing floating waste from the sea and rivers. It includes a system for collecting floating waste off the surface of rivers, seas and oceans and its processing directly onboard the ship using the TCD technology. The whole system is self-sufficient in terms of energy, as the manufactured TCD oil is used as the fuel for the processing ship and its surplus can be sold. So can be the TCD gas, carbon and separated steel, notably from fishing net remains. The system also includes desalination equipment, which uses waste heat for producing process water (to strip waste of chlorine, Cl, contained in seawater – NaCl – at the input of the TCD process) and drinking water onboard. The primary reason for the project is its positive environmental effect.
